Synopsis of Whisper Me a Love Song Manga

Yori Asanagi is a mature girl in many ways but is still pure in romance. That sentiment is proven when an underclassman, Himari Kino, suddenly confesses love to her after her band performance at the freshman opening ceremony.

Confused and surprised, Yori asks her friends for consultation, but they tease her by saying she is experiencing love. Yori soon makes up her mind and tries to return Himari’s feelings, but in a twist of events, she realizes that what Himari loved was not her, but her music!

As Yori continues to pursue her love for Himari, she promises to make Himari fall for her. However, will this passionate love bloom or remain unrequited?

Whisper Me a Love Song Manga Review

This manga gave me respect back for male Yuri/shoujo ai authors. Most Yuri manga written by men is primarily a lesbian fuckfest with some half-assed plot sprinkled on top (no shame if that’s what you enjoy. And if it is, then I don’t recommend this manga). This is the opposite. This is one of, if not THE cutest and most wholesome shoujo ai manga I’ve ever enjoyed reading. If you want to sit down for a bit and experience some blissful young romance without unnecessary physical intimacy (looking at you, citrus), this is the manga for you. The characters (that matter) are all unique and have their flavor. The story is simple, but not generic or boring, which is my favorite type, and the art is crisp and satisfying to look at. Overall, this manga is one of the most enjoyable reading experiences I’ve ever had. There may only be 16 chapters as of this review, so who knows what it may be like in the future, but I am on the edge of my seat waiting for the next release.
